Chef's Gala salivations
The participating chefs have been announced for the 22nd annual Chef's Gala, and my stomach is already growling.
Chefs from the Antlers, Blue Vervain, Charles Court, Cliff House ... lots of the usual (amazingly talented) suspects.
Some surprises: Thomas English from English Dockside, a perrenial winner for best sea food in our Best of the Springs section, Marc Bond from Jake & Telly's and Tijinder Dhillon from Taste of India (who was in last year with his delicious butter chicken).
The Gala is set for 5 p.m. Feb. 25. Our own food guru Teresa Farney will emcee.

Dear Gazette,
One of the best Chinese restaurants in town is Silver Pond, located on north Academy Blvd. We eat there regularly and find it has fresh, innovative, customized and/or traditional Chinese offerings. Lately however, when we visit this fine establishment, the restaurant is only moderately full with diners. Not wanting to loose this gem of Asian cuisine, we were wondering if you would be interested in having your food editor visit this restaurant again, and if you - like us, find it to be a restaurant worthy of mention, then could you spot light it in the GO section on Fridays?
Thanks so much for your consideration,
Louellen and Randy Welsch
