Jake goes to Vallejo's
Eating Out With Jake
This last Saturday, May 10th, my family and I went to Vallejo's on Corona Street, near downtown, to eat lunch. Vallejo's is a small restaurant with lots of parrots hanging from the ceiling, which aren't real birds, and pictures of bull fighters and pretty places on the walls. We all started with chips and a very good spicy salsa. My sisters and I ordered off the kid's menu. I had a beef enchilada. My older sister had a chicken enchilada while my little sister had a beef enchilada like me. My dad had chili rellenos that were spicy. When he gave me a little bite to try it made my eyes water, and I drank a lot of my drink to cut the heat, but I wanted another bite. My mom had a cheese combination plate with an enchilada, a tostada, and a crispy taco. All of us had the rice and beans and big glasses of pop. It was so good; you should eat at Vallejo's, too.
